A quote addressed to a company or homeowners' association needs different elements from one for a private individual. What to adjust in each case.

The same job can be quoted differently depending on whether the end client is a private individual, a company or a homeowners' association, because each has different administrative and decision-making needs.

Quote for a private individual

It tends to be more direct, with plain language and a focus on the end result rather than technicalities. The decision is usually made by one person or a couple, and the approval process is quick compared with other types of client.

Quote for a company

Companies usually require an invoice with all the correct tax details from the outset, and in many cases the quote passes through several approvers before being confirmed, which lengthens the decision process. Including very clear delivery times is usually more important here than with a private individual.

Quote for a homeowners' association

It needs clear language so it can be understood at the residents' meeting, a breakdown allowing costs to be split according to ownership shares if necessary, and often has to sit alongside competing quotes that will be read and voted on at the same meeting. Clarity of presentation weighs heavily in this kind of collective decision.
