The price of accessories (switches, sockets, frames) can multiply by 4 or 5 between the most basic and the top range of the same manufacturer, and in a home with 40-60 accessories that difference is very noticeable in the final quote.

Basic range: the functional option

Basic-range accessories meet the regulations and work just like premium ones: same switch inside, simpler plastic frame. It is the usual choice for rentals, commercial premises or service areas (storerooms, garages) where appearance isn't a priority.

Mid range: the best-selling balance

The mid range adds frames with a better finish (aluminium, matt colours), a softer switch feel and sometimes a courtesy LED glow. It is the one fitted in most renovations of main homes.

Premium range and home automation: when it is justified

The premium range includes frames in glass, brushed metal or wood, and accessories with added functions (touch dimmer, timer, app control). It is justified in living rooms, entrances and showpiece areas, or when the client already wants home automation built into the accessory.

A common practice that saves money: premium only in the visible areas (living room, entrance, kitchen) and basic or mid in the rest (bedrooms, bathrooms, storerooms).
