Regular garden maintenance is one of the most stable routes to recurring income for a gardener, and quoting it well requires understanding which variables affect the monthly price.

Guideline price by area

As a market reference, a small garden (up to 100 m²) with a fortnightly visit can run around €60–100/month; a medium garden (100–300 m²), between €100–200/month; and large gardens or ones with demanding features (swimming pool, automatic irrigation, many hedges) can exceed €250–400/month depending on frequency and the work included.

What to include in the maintenance contract

Mowing the lawn, trimming hedges and borders, removing weeds, a basic check of the irrigation and clearing leaves are the standard tasks of a maintenance contract. Plant-protection treatments, seasonal feeding or major pruning are usually quoted separately, as they are not regular-frequency tasks.

Why a monthly contract suits both sides

For the client, a fixed contract avoids having to call every time the garden needs attention. For the gardener, it gives predictable income and lets them plan the workload across clients better, as opposed to depending only on one-off call-outs.
